The Tanana Valley Campus is located in Fairbanks at the Tanana Valley Campus Center, the Tanana Valley Campus Downtown Center, the Hutchison Institute of Technology, the University Park Building, Northern Military Programs on Eielson AFB and Ft. Wainwright Army base and the Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab. Tanana Valley Campus offers 40 associate degree and certificate programs that are responsive to local and regional vocational/technical training needs, focusing on areas that are crucial to the workforce needs of the state such as allied health, process technology, information technology, applied business, human services, and many others.
TVC's certificate and degree programs also provide students with the academic framework to help them achieve their higher education goals, whether it is to complete an associate of arts degree or transfer into a baccalaureate program.
In addition, TVC provides career training and development opportunities through workforce development and professional development programs. Staff and faculty have forged close ties with businesses and local agencies, enhancing instruction and increasing job placements.
TVC has an annual budget of approximately $8 million, employs a diverse population of approximately 40 full-time faculty, 300 adjunct faculty who are represented by two academic unions, 40 staff, and a non-traditional and culturally diverse student population of approximately 3,300 students.
